Aashiqui 2 follows Rahul Jaykar, a once-celebrated musician whose career is unraveling due to his drinking, as he discovers Aarohi, a talented bar singer, and vows to help her become a professional artist. As Aarohi's career flourishes under his mentorship, the two fall in love, but Rahul's worsening addiction and volatile behavior strain their relationship. Directed by Mohit Suri, the 2013 Hindi musical drama draws on the story pattern of earlier 'A Star Is Born' adaptations.
