Directed by Upendra — Upendra

This 1998 Kannada romantic psychological thriller centers on a filmmaker who spirals into heartbreak and alcoholism after the actress he loves rejects him, only for her to later resurface in his life under complicated and morally murky circumstances tied to the film industry's darker side. The story is told through a layered structure of nested flashbacks and a reverse-order narrative, gradually revealing how their past relationship and present entanglements connect. Told partly from the perspective of a foreign distributor trying to salvage the director's censored, unreleased film, the movie interweaves themes of exploitation, betrayal, and obsession within the film business.

Where to watch in USA

We checked the streaming catalogues and it isn’t on any service we cover — in any country, not just yours. Films leave and return, so this can change.

We check JioHotstar, Eros Now, Sun NXT, Prime Video, ZEE5 and 13 others. If it is streaming somewhere we don’t read, it won’t show up here — tell us and we’ll add it.
