Zameen is a 2003 Hindi action thriller marking Rohit Shetty's directorial debut, starring Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan and Bipasha Basu. After a terrorist assault linked to Pakistan, an army officer and a police ACP separately clash with a militant network, whose members eventually hijack a passenger plane and force it to land in Pakistan-administered Kashmir, holding the passengers and crew hostage. The story, inspired loosely by the Indian Airlines Flight 814 hijacking and evoking the 1976 Entebbe rescue, follows the tense standoff and the uneasy alliance between the military and police officers as they try to resolve the crisis.
