This 1988 Hindi drama, directed by Avtar Bhogal and starring Dimple Kapadia and Raj Babbar, follows a female police officer who is brutally gang-raped by a group of men. After the courts fail to punish her attackers, she bands together with other women who have suffered similar assaults, and they set out to track down and take violent retribution against the men responsible. The story draws inspiration from the 1986 American film The Ladies Club.
