Following his father's death and his sisters' weddings, a debt-ridden man named Dayashankar Manorilal Pandey travels to the city to reclaim his house, which he plans to sell to clear his dues. The tenants living there—a widowed mother, her two daughters and young son—refuse to move out, prompting him to try a series of increasingly farcical tactics, including legal action, police complaints, hired thugs, and finally moving into the house himself. The 2001 Hindi comedy, directed by Priyadarshan and starring Suniel Shetty, Mahima Chaudhry and Paresh Rawal, is a remake of an earlier Malayalam film.
