This 1998 Kannada romantic drama, directed by D. Rajendra Babu, follows Kamali, a job-seeking graduate, and Surya, an easygoing orphan working in Jaipur, who fall in love through letters and phone calls after he returns a lost purse to her. As both eventually move to Bangalore, they cross paths unknowingly amid mounting complications, including a boss infatuated with Surya and a suitor pursuing Kamali, while she searches for the man she has never actually met in person. The story is a remake of a 1996 Tamil film and features a soundtrack that was widely popular at the time.
