After repeated run-ins with troublemakers back in Chennai, engineering student Sakthi is packed off by his wealthy parents to his mother's family village near Pollachi, where he reconnects with grandparents he has never met due to an old family rift. In the village he clashes with a rival strongman and becomes entangled in local rivalries and a wedding celebration, while also drawing the attention of a young woman named Neelaveni. When she is abducted by a group tied to old enemies and her own relatives, Sakthi sets out to rescue her.
