After a botched anti-terrorism operation leads to personal tragedy and his suspension from the police force, a grieving officer forms an unlikely bond with a wheelchair-using chess master who was his late daughter's teacher. The chess player believes his own daughter's death was no accident and pulls the officer into investigating a powerful government minister, setting off a tense chain of confrontations. The story unfolds as a noir-tinged thriller blending personal loss, suspicion, and political intrigue.
