This 1995 Tamil action comedy centers on a sharp, caste-conscious Brahmin lawyer who has never lost a case, played alongside two other roles by the same actor, who also wrote and directed the film. When a slum-dwelling road-roller driver and community leader is accused of killing a local minister after she has his settlement burned down, the lawyer's wife and daughter, both of whom the accused man had earlier rescued, persuade him to take up the case in court. The story follows the ensuing legal and personal fallout as the lawyer defends the man his family has come to admire.
