A woman and her daughter become entangled with an escaped convict after he witnesses them disposing of a body. When the convict demands shelter by posing as a family member during the daughter's wedding preparations, a police officer investigating the death begins to uncover the truth behind the incident, leading to a tangle of past crimes and revenge.
