Veyil

Directed by G. Vasanthabalan, this 2006 Tamil drama follows Murugesan, a boy who flees his butcher father's household after being punished for sneaking off to watch films, eventually finding refuge with a cinema projectionist. Years later, haunted by guilt and a tragic past love, he returns home and becomes entangled in the struggles of his devoted younger brother Kathir, whose advertising business draws the hostility of a local gangster and his associate. The story traces the fractured bonds within the family as old wounds and new conflicts resurface.
