This 1965 Tamil romance follows Chandru, a respected psychiatrist who is in a relationship with Geetha but takes on a difficult case treating a young widow named Shobha, whose fragile mental state stems from a tragic loss just after her wedding. As he travels to Kodaikanal and learns of her painful history from her parents, his efforts to help her recover set off a series of emotional complications involving love and loyalty. The film explores the entangled feelings that emerge between doctor and patient as her treatment progresses.
