This 1982 Tamil romantic drama follows Rajasekaran, a wealthy, indulged young man who becomes infatuated with an air-hostess named Devi after she initially rebuffs him. His persistent pursuit strains his friendship with a pal who also has feelings for Devi, and creates tension with her family, while a family-arranged marriage and a series of misunderstandings complicate his efforts to win her over. As the couple eventually grow closer, a serious health crisis emerges that threatens their future together. The film is a remake of a Telugu original and stars Kamal Haasan, Sridevi and Sripriya.
