Vattaram is a 2006 Tamil action crime drama directed by Saran, centered on Burma, a chauffeur's son whose father is disgraced and driven to suicide through the scheming of Ayravadham, aide to wealthy businessman and arms dealer Gurupadam. Years later, Burma re-enters Gurupadam's household as a gun dealer, gradually winning the trust of Gurupadam and his daughter despite opposition from Ayravadham and Gurupadam's son, while maneuvering within the underworld's power struggles to pursue his own hidden agenda.
