This 2007 Tamil drama centers on Ganesh, who realizes he loves his close friend Jency only to learn she plans to marry Nicholas, a wealthy but controlling businessman from London. Jency agrees to the match out of gratitude, since Nicholas paid for her mother's surgery, but soon finds the relationship troubled, prompting Ganesh to intervene and setting him on a collision course with Nicholas. The film contrasts the emotional pull of love with the obligations tied to an arranged engagement.
