Underdogs

This Argentine animated comedy follows Amadeo, a quiet young man skilled at table football in a small town, whose life is upended when a childhood rival named Grosso becomes a world-famous soccer star and returns to buy up the entire town, seeking revenge for an old defeat and the affection of Amadeo's love interest, Laura. To save their home, Amadeo rallies his miniature table football teammates, who come to life to help him, along with the townspeople, to form a real team and face Grosso's squad in a decisive match. The story is framed as a bedtime tale told by a father to his son.
