This Tamil mythological drama, directed by A. P. Nagarajan and led by Sivaji Ganesan, draws on the classic Thiruvilaiyadal Puranam legends of Shiva's earthly interventions. When the god Muruga storms off from Mount Kailash after a dispute with his father Shiva over a prize given to his brother Vinayaka, his mother Parvati tries to soothe his anger by recounting four tales of Shiva's miraculous deeds, including his test of the poets Dharumi and Nakkeerar in the Pandya court and his turbulent marriage to Sati. The film blends these interwoven stories into a devotional narrative celebrating Shiva's various disguises and divine games.
