A young man leaves his village to live with his uncle in Chennai, where he secretly films a married woman having an affair with her husband's close friend and uses the footage to extort money from her. When he travels to Australia using these funds, he falls for a woman who turns out to have ties to the woman he is blackmailing, setting off a chain of romantic and financial complications back home. The story follows his attempts to be with her despite obstacles raised by her family and the fallout from his earlier schemes.
