This 2003 Tamil romantic comedy follows Vasudevan, a carefree young man from a middle-class household, and Vijayalakshmi, an ambitious woman from a traditional Telugu family, whose chance encounter turns sour after a scooter accident she blames on him. When he moves to Chennai to prove himself to his disapproving father, she unexpectedly ends up living in the same building, and their constant clashes form the heart of the story as their feelings toward each other are tested. The film traces how this antagonistic relationship evolves against the backdrop of Vasu's efforts to change and reconcile with his family.
