This Malayalam drama follows Akbar Ahmed, a celebrated young film director, as he decides to base his second movie on the life of a once-famous but now-vanished actress named Malavika. Digging through old letters and diaries left by a fellow filmmaker, Akbar and his friends piece together the story of Malavika's passionate romance and marriage to a superstar actor, and how their relationship's collapse altered both their lives and careers. Told through overlapping flashbacks and personal narrations, the film honors older-generation actresses who were once adored but later forgotten by the film industry and public.
