This 2023 Hindi drama, directed by Sudipto Sen, follows several young women from Kerala who are manipulated into changing their religion and eventually drawn into the Islamic State. Presented as based on true events, the story reflects a Hindutva-linked narrative about so-called 'love jihad' and alleges a large-scale recruitment of Hindu women into the terrorist group. Following controversy, the makers were required to add disclaimers clarifying that the statistics shown were unverified and that the narrative was a fictionalized account.
