The Angrez

Hindi · 2005 · 110 min · comedy

Directed by Kuntaa Nikkil — Ganesh Venkatraman · Dheer Charan Srivastav · Mast Ali · Tara D'Souza · Soumya Bollapragada

This 2005 Hyderabadi-language comedy follows the intersecting lives of two American-based professionals returning to Hyderabad for IT jobs, a group of local men from the Old City, and a criminal gang. Tensions escalate when the newcomers clash with the locals, setting off a chain of events involving a botched kidnapping plot and rival groups vying for respect and revenge. The film uses slapstick humor to satirize both the Hyderabadi dialect and culture, as well as the fascination with American materialism and the emerging tech industry.

Where to watch in USA

We checked the streaming catalogues and it isn’t on any service we cover — in any country, not just yours. Films leave and return, so this can change.

We check JioHotstar, Eros Now, Sun NXT, Prime Video, ZEE5 and 13 others. If it is streaming somewhere we don’t read, it won’t show up here — tell us and we’ll add it.
