Set in an isolated, rugged settlement within a Palakkad valley evoking the atmosphere of a frontier western, this 1990 Malayalam drama follows Balan as he tracks down Raju, the man responsible for killing his wife on their wedding night and stealing his savings. Balan's pursuit leads him to a farming family who unknowingly shelter Raju under a false identity, forcing the two former friends to conceal their history and hostility while living under the same roof. Directed by Bharathan from a script by M. T. Vasudevan Nair, the film centers on the tense standoff between the two men as old loyalties and buried betrayal resurface.
