This 2007 Tamil romantic drama follows Sumathi and Subramaniam, two strangers who cross paths at a spot in Chennai known for suicides, each driven there by personal despair over troubled family finances and a betrayal by a friend over a promised overseas job. After a rescue interrupts their plans, their lives improve separately, but both find themselves pushed into arranged marriages they don't want. The story follows their attempts to escape these arranged unions and find their way back to one another.
