This 2006 Kannada drama, directed by S. Mahendar and adapted from the Tamil film Thevar Magan, follows Satya, a village headman's son who has studied abroad and returns home with his girlfriend, hoping to move to a city and start a business. Their plans are disrupted when his father dies unexpectedly, leading Satya to marry a woman from a lower caste. The film features Ambareesh and Upendra in lead roles alongside Laila, Sakshi Shivanand and Ashish Vidyarthi, but did not perform well commercially.
