This 1997 Hindi-language thriller follows Ram Yadav, a principled young police officer whose orderly life is upended when a woman posing as a domestic worker becomes entangled with him and he ends up marrying her. Meanwhile his investigative work puts him at odds with a powerful man named Appa Rao, whose arrogant son commits a brutal public crime that Ram refuses to overlook. The resulting conflict sets Appa Rao on a vengeful path aimed at destroying Ram's career and belief in justice.
