Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy

Set during the 1857 uprising against British East India Company rule, this Telugu historical drama recounts how the queen of Jhansi rallies her soldiers by recalling the story of Narasimha Reddy, a chieftain's son from Rayalaseema who vowed as a youth to avenge his people's suffering under colonial forces. Trained in combat and philosophy, he grows into a resistance leader who unites disparate former rulers and chiefs to organize an armed rebellion against British tax collectors and officials in his region. The film, a fictionalized account inspired by the real-life freedom fighter, follows his escalating conflict with British authorities as his movement gains allies across different territories.
