This Malayalam comedy drama follows Ajaychandran Nair, a liquor businessman who has returned from the Gulf with newfound wealth, as he tries to build his social status in his home village through lavish spending and public displays of generosity. His pursuit of prestige strains his relationships with his family and leads to a string of costly setbacks, including a disastrous fireworks accident at a festival he organizes and financial troubles tied to his business abroad.
