State of Siege: Temple Attack

This 2021 Hindi action thriller, directed by Ken Ghosh and starring Akshaye Khanna, draws inspiration from the real-life 2002 assault on Gujarat's Akshardham Temple and the response that followed. It centers on NSG officer Major Hanut Singh, still shadowed by memories of a past mission gone wrong, who is called upon when militants under commander Abu Hamza storm a temple, open fire on those inside, and take hostages to press for the release of their jailed leader.
