When a London-based man returns to his ancestral village in Punjab to claim inherited land, he unknowingly enters a decades-old feud between two families. Unaware of the vendetta, he becomes entangled with the family that has been searching for him for twenty-five years, while also developing feelings for the sister of his would-be killer. Trapped by ancient household customs that protect guests from harm, the two families engage in escalating schemes and confrontations.
