This 2012 Malayalam action drama, directed by Shaji Kailas, centers on Arjun, a student in Manipal and son of powerful Palakkad landlord Madhava Menon. When called home, Arjun discovers his father's long-running rivalry with the Ramadhathan Unni brothers, who operate a chain of grocery stores, and he quietly moves to confront them despite his father's wish that he stay out of the violence. Loosely inspired by Mario Puzo's The Godfather, the film began as a planned remake of another movie before evolving into its own story.
