Shortkut is a 2009 Hindi comedy about Shekhar, an aspiring writer-director, and his actor friend Raju, who is eager to land a lead role. When Raju takes Shekhar's script and uses it to launch his own career without giving credit, it turns into a massive hit and makes him a star, leaving Shekhar sidelined and dealing with a personal breakup. Determined to make his mark, Shekhar writes another script and secretly shoots a film built around Raju without his knowledge.
