Shikkar follows Balaraman, an ex-constable from Hyderabad who has settled into a quiet life as a truck driver with his daughter Ganga in the hilly region of Idukki. Their peace is shattered when a band of Naxalites targets them in revenge for the killing of their leader, a doctor slain in a fake police encounter. Balaraman is forced to take extreme steps to shield his daughter from the threat closing in on them.
