Sherni follows an Indian Forest Service officer, played by Vidya Balan, who is sent to a remote village to locate and manage a tigress blamed for attacking humans. Her efforts to safely capture the animal are complicated by local politics, as a politician seeking election advantage brings in a hunter with different intentions. The 2021 Hindi-language thriller explores tensions between conservation efforts and the pressures of human-wildlife conflict.
