In an Andhra Pradesh village, an aging landlord and his wife preside over a traditional joint household, while their grown children have settled abroad with their own nuclear families. A puzzling message about the couple's marriage brings the scattered family back home for the Sankranti festival, stirring up questions about duty, distance, and the pull between modern independence and old family bonds. Amid the reunion, a quiet romance also develops between two of the younger relatives.
