A poor man named Shankar falls in love with Rani, a middle-class woman, while also attracting the attention of Anita, the daughter of a wealthy industrialist and politician. When Shankar uncovers illicit activities by Anita's father, he sets out to expose him, leading the powerful businessman to hire a criminal to stop him.
