A Canada-based couple, Shekhar and Nandini, travel to his family's ancestral home in rural Bihar, India after news about his parents, only to discover his father leads a clan locked in a violent, long-running feud with rival relatives. As old grudges and brutal retaliations unfold around them, Nandini becomes increasingly desperate to return home with their young son. The 2002 Hindi drama is a remake of the Telugu film Anthahpuram, itself inspired by Betty Mahmoody's real-life story.
