This 1982 Hindi comedy-drama follows seven rough-mannered orphaned brothers running a farm, whose eldest, Ravi, marries a nurse named Indu who sets out to civilize the whole household. When the younger brothers fall for a group of sisters caring for a wheelchair-using heiress, complications arise as the heiress's scheming uncle arranges for a man who looks identical to Ravi to impersonate him and carry out a murder plot against her. The film is an adaptation of the Hollywood musical Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, itself drawn from an old story rooted in the legend of the Sabine women.
