Safar is a 1970 Hindi drama centered on a young surgeon, Neela, whose story unfolds through flashbacks to her medical college days. There she forms a close bond with a talented but financially struggling classmate, Avinash, who secretly hides a serious illness and never speaks of marriage despite his evident affection for her. When financial need pushes Neela into tutoring, she meets a wealthy businessman, Shekhar, whose growing love for her sets off a chain of emotional complications involving her past ties to Avinash.
