Rocky

This 1981 Hindi drama follows a boy who, after his father dies in a construction accident and he becomes separated from his birth mother, is adopted by another family and raised under a new identity. As a young man, he falls in love and unexpectedly discovers the truth about his origins, learning that his father's death was not an accident but a murder, which pushes him toward seeking justice with the help of another woman who has suffered her own trauma. The film also marked the screen debut of its lead actor and was directed by Sunil Dutt, released around the time of a personal family loss for the cast.
