This 2006 Tamil action comedy follows Shakti, an ambitious young man who leaves his village for Chennai and ends up running a magic stall next to a lively mermaid-themed attraction, where he clashes and eventually falls in love with a woman named Velli. Their romance unfolds alongside a mounting criminal investigation involving a lookalike of Shakti tied to a series of murders, drawing both men into a shared, dangerous predicament. Directed by Sundar C and starring Madhavan in dual roles alongside Reema Sen and Anushka Shetty, the film blends comic set-pieces with a crime-driven subplot.
