This 2005 Hindi comedy-drama follows Ramji, a simple cook from Bihar trying to fund his sister's dowry by taking a chef's job with a wealthy family in London. When that job falls through, he ends up working without proper papers at an Indian restaurant, and to avoid deportation he enters into a marriage of convenience arranged by a scheming lawyer, which gradually turns into an unexpected bond between him and his new wife. The story blends humor and family drama as immigration troubles, financial pressures back home, and shifting relationships complicate his situation.
