This Telugu mythological drama, performed largely by a cast of thousands of child actors, retells the ancient story of Prince Rama of Ayodhya, his marriage to Sita after winning a divine bow contest, and his exile to the forest following a political promise made by his father. The narrative follows Rama, his wife Sita, and brother Lakshmana through their years in the wilderness, where they face demonic threats, form alliances with forest kings, and Sita is abducted by the demon king Ravana, setting the stage for Rama's quest to rescue her.
