The story moves between the two countries and Thailand, weaving in a backstory about a young medical student drawn into extremism and the political ties between an Indian president and a Bangladeshi prime minister. As a presidential visit to Bangladesh approaches, the investigators race to uncover an infiltrator and a planned attack tied to the terror group's sleeper cells.
