A poor family is split apart after a train accident, with the mother taken in as a servant for a city mayor's household, one son abducted by criminals, and the father and younger son settling in a rural village under the care of a benevolent local man. Years later, that son travels to Bombay to check on his adoptive brother, only to find him accused of murder, and he goes undercover within a criminal gang to uncover the truth, unaware of a startling connection to the gang's leader.
