Three condemned fugitives break into the home of a couple, only to discover that the wife has just killed her husband, an advertising filmmaker. As she recounts the abusive circumstances behind his death, the escapees reveal their own ordeal involving a manipulated crime that landed them a death sentence, drawing all of them into a tense confrontation over hidden truths. Adapted from an Agatha Christie play, the story unfolds largely within a single night as secrets about the killings come to light.
