Quick Gun Murugun is a 2009 English-language Indian comedy that parodies western films, following a vegetarian Tamil cowboy hero who takes on a scheming restaurateur, Rice Plate Reddy, intent on inventing a meat-based dosa. Along the way he is caught between two women, Mango Dolly and Locket Lover, as the story moves from a South Indian village through a heavenly realm to modern-day Mumbai over a span of decades. Directed by Shashanka Ghosh and starring Rajendra Prasad, the film blends musical numbers, exaggerated drama, and comic action, including a memorable showdown set in a traffic jam.
