Set in Kerala, the story follows Louis Pothen, a Christian lawyer and media personality, and his wife Vasuki, a Hindu Kathakali dancer, whose interfaith marriage has estranged them from their families. When Vasuki is assaulted by men in her apartment building, the trauma leads her to confide in a sympathetic new police commissioner, and together they pursue a covert path toward justice outside the formal legal system. The film uses this premise to examine themes of trauma, silence, and retribution amid a backdrop of youth drug culture.
