After a young man survives a jump from a cliff that his lover did not, he tries to rebuild his life and takes up work as a dance instructor. He gradually falls for another woman he keeps meeting by chance, even as he pushes her away, but their budding relationship runs into resistance from family and social differences. Directed by K. Balachander and led by Kamal Haasan and Revathi, the story follows how this new bond develops against the shadow of his past loss.
