Punjabi House

A desperate entrepreneur stages his own death at sea to secure insurance money for his debts, but survives and is rescued by fishermen who employ him as a servant in a moneylender's household to work off their own obligations. While working there, he encounters a young woman from the family and becomes entangled in an unexpected romance that complicates his attempts to keep his survival hidden from his own family.
